The Washington State Bar Association is having a contest for the best 3-minute video on the subject of “Justice for All.” A videographer for the Seattle Police Department, Cesar Hidalgo-Landeros, has created a video about Jeeter and Ellie, the two Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) Assistance Dogs who work in the King County Courthouse, and has entered this video into the contest.

Watch the Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPVdie1-Jdc .

The video contains quotes from our prosecutor and judges about the use of the dogs. This could be helpful for prosecutors who want to convince the court that this is an acceptable practice. The judges can also see how well behaved the dogs are in the courtroom. Jeeter is either snoozes or greeting people who want to pet them during a court recess. When they go to the stand with witnesses they are very serious and professional.

You can see the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPVdie1-Jdc .

There is a People’s Choice award for the video that gets the most views before June 30th. The winning video will be shown at a bar association banquet.
