The Hearing Foundation provides patient treatment for hearing impaired, medical research into causes, treatment and prevention of deafness, and public education on hearing conservation.

ImageThe Hearing Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)3, foundation was formed by the Lions Clubs of Nevada/California in 1982. The foundation is dedicated to assisting deaf and hearing-impaired people who are unable to afford the proper medical care.

Lions Burn Center At UMC LV PDF Print E-mail

In 1968, the need for a special care center for the treatment of burn victims in Southem Nevada was brought to the attention of the Lions. The Lions took on this challenge, and through a concerted effort, the LIONS BURN CENTER was opened in February, 1969, at what was then the Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital, now UMC.

Lions in Sight PDF Print E-mail

Lions in Sight has been a Multiple District 4 endorsed project since 1991. It has four charter objectives, which are: (1) To serve as Lions International Eyeglass Recycling Center for the Western United States. (2) To provide clinic trips to developing nations to prescribe the recycled eyeglasses to those in need. (3) To provide used eyeglasses to Lions Clubs worldwide, and to ensure the eyeglasses are appropriately prescribed and distributed. (4) To expand the capability of Lions in MD-4 to provide free primary eyecare to the needy in their districts.
