The Lions Youth Exchange Program is founded upon the first object of Lionism: To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the people of the world.

The Lions Youth Exchange Program (YEP) was conceived to afford today's youth, the leaders and parents of tomorrow, an opportunity to learn more about people and other than their own.

The first exchange was conducted in 1962 between Japan and Califoria-Nevada. We now exchange with Europe, Scandinavia, Malaysia, Peru, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The tremendous growth of the YEP throughout Lions International has increased recognition for its positive contributions toward a better world of understanding. This is a very ambitious on-going program that requires support from Club to MD level.
